Alan won multiple Academy Award and Emmy nominations in his career span of 65 years. His death was confirmed by his sons, Adam, Matthew and Anthony. They told People magazine, "Our father was a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man. A loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather, he was adored and will be deeply missed."

Filmmaker R Balki has opened up on his segment in Lust Stories 2 titled, ‘Made For Each Other’. The segment stars Neena Gupta, Mrunal Thakur, and Angad Bedi. Now, during an interaction with Hindustan Times, the filmmaker explained why he chose a family-friendly lust story in the anthology series. He said, “I just wanted to do a lust story that the whole family can watch. Families are created through lust also na? Only love can’t create a family, right? I really set out to make a ‘family lust story.’ I wanted it to be like a real home. You can do it behind closed doors. You don’t have to show it to people, but the topics have to be addressed.”
