Last month, reports about Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit joining politics and contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024 emerged on social media. However, the actress has now reacted to the rumours and refuted the claims. Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Dr. Sriram Nene, recently spoke to Zee 24 Taas and stated, “No, not at all, I have no interest in politics. Every time there is an election, these rumours are spread about me. But no, I’m not interested.” While the actress put an end to these rumours, her husband Dr Nene expressed his opinion about politics and said, “We support everyone, we are impartial. But if someone does good work, he should be supported.” She then asserted, “I’m aware of the discussions regarding my potential entry into politics. However, these are merely rumours. I have no intention of contesting elections under any political party. Please refrain from spreading baseless speculations.”

On Thursday, veteran actress Shabana Azmi remembered her movie Bazaar costar Farooq Shaikh on his 10th death anniversary. Sharing a picture of the late actor, Azmi penned a long note that read, “10 years… I remember so clearly that on December 14th, we did our last show of Tumhari Amrita in front of the Taj Mahal. I remarked that we can never find a venue to match the Taj and that it should be our last show since we have been playing it for 22 years.” Shaikh died on December 28, 2013.

Streamer Netflix announced on Thursday that the crime comedy series "Guns & Gulaabs," created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, will be returning for a second season. Netflix shared the news of the show's renewal for the sophomore season through a teaser video, which the streamer posted on its social media pages. "Khali haath nahi, Guns & Gulaabs ka naya season leke aaye hain #GunsAndGulaabs Season 2 is coming only on Netflix," Netflix said. Actors Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, and Gulshan Devaiah are all returning for the second season. Set in the 1990s, “Guns & Gulaabs” follows the story of a lovestruck mechanic Paana Tipu (Rao), a reluctant heir to a ruling gang Chhota Ganchi (Gourav), an honest officer-turned-agent-of-chaos Arjun Verma (Salmaan), and a killer called 4-cut Atmaram (Devaiah). Rao and Devaiah also shared the announcement video on their Instagram pages. "Aapka itna pyaar paana, Tipu ke liye prem patra se kam nahi tha. Tipu ka jalwa dekhna mat bhoolna! #GunsAndGulaabs Season 2 is coming only on Netflix," Rao wrote. The show's first season came out on Netflix in August of this year. It also featured the late actor Satish Kaushik in a pivotal role.

Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore has revealed that she was battling cancer when filmmaker Karan Johar approached her to play a key role in his movie "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani." The cinema icon and her son, actor Saif Ali Khan, appeared in the latest episode of Johar's celebrity chat show, "Koffee with Karan." In the episode, which dropped on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday, Johar said he wanted Tagore to play the role of Alia Bhatt's grandmother in the movie, which came out in theatres in August. "I had offered Sharmila ji the part played by Shabana (Azmi) ji in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'. She was my very first choice. Due to health reasons at that time, she couldn’t say yes. but it is a regret I have,” the filmmaker said. Tagore, 79, said she didn't want to take a risk during the pandemic as she was not vaccinated. "This is at the height of Covid. They hadn’t really grappled with Covid at that time. They didn’t know about the vaccine; we were not vaccinated. You know, (it was) after my cancer. So, they didn’t want me to take that risk," she said.

As Saif Ali Khan graced Koffee With Karan 8 with mother Sharmila Tagore, he got a surprise with a special video from wife Kareena Kapoor Khan wherein she revealed her favourite memory of the actor. Bebo said, "My favorite memory will always be the first time I met Saif. Because he was sitting on top of a makeup vanity van in Ladakh. Without his T-shirt. And I was like, 'who is that guy who is sitting on top of the vanity van? And they were like, 'It's Saif.' And I looked closer and I was like 'Oh my God, that's Saif.' That was the moment that I just lost my mind. That was it".

As Mother India actor Sajid Khan passed away today, director-producer Sajid Khan found himself in a tight spot after he was mistaken for the late actor. However, he cleared the air with a video stating, "Mother India film jo 1957 mein aayi thi. Usme jo chhota bachcha Sunil Dutt bana hua tha, uska naam Sajid Khan tha. Wo 1951 mein paida hua tha. Mein 20 saal baad paida hua. Unki bechare ki death ho gayi. And may his soul rest in peace. Lekin mere kuchh irresponsible media walo ne meri photo daal di."

As Sharmila Tagore graced Koffee With Karan 8, she got candid about how Said Ali Khan told her about his wedding with Amrita Singh and said, "Actually, I was visiting Mumbai for something, so Saif came to meet me and said, 'I've something to tell you.' And then he told me. I don't remember exactly what I was doing, but I was quiet, and he says, 'Amma, your color is changing. You're looking different.' I said, 'We'll talk about it later.' After he left, I rang up Tiger (Saif's father). There was also a long silence on that part. Then we left it at that".
