Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt, who is married to actor Ranbir Kapoor, married on April 14, 2022, and the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Raha, in November 2022. Recently, Ranbir was in the singing reality show Indian Idol Season 14 for the promotion of his upcoming movie Animal, where the makers played a special video message from Alia’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, for Ranbir. In the message, Bhatt praised Kapoor and said, “Alia, who I believe is a miracle, says Ranbir is one of the best actors in our country. But I believe Ranbir is the world’s best father. When he sees Raha, I wish you could see his eyes at that time. His mother, Neetu Kapoor, says, ‘Aisa pyaar toh maa karti hai apni bachiyo se jo Ranbir karta hai Raha se.’ I’m proud I have a son-in-law like Ranbir.” After watching the video, Ranbir got all emotional and said, “He has never said such things to me in person. So thank you Indian Idol for this. Sasur ji se pass hogaya hu main.”

Actor Rani Mukerji recently revealed that she felt "unfortunate" as she couldn't be a part of Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan'. During an interactive session at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa, Rani said, "The only film which I could say I was unfortunate that I couldn't be part of was 'Lagaan' because there was a particular date clash and Aamir was turning producer with the film and he said that "Rani I am shooting this film in a particular way, so I want all my actors in this particular place for 6 months and not move". She then went on to add, "I also asked the other producers if they would be okay if I left the film because I would really like to do Aamir's film, he's a close friend of mine. But the producer refused to let me go. It was very sad." Helmed by director Ashutosh Gowariker, 'Laagan' is counted among Bollywood’s biggest hits.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap shared a smoke with global cinema icon Mads Mikkelsen. On his Instagram page, Kashyap shared a series of cool poses with him from the Marrakech International Film Festival. Malayalam actor Mammootty took to his X account to express his sorrow over the tragic stampede that took place during Nikhita Gandhi's concert in Cusat campus in Kochi. Offering condolences to the bereaved families, he wrote, "Heartbreaking to know about the mishap at Cusat campus in Kochi. My thoughts at the moment are with the families of the bereaved. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured." The incident left 6 individuals injured and killed four people.

Post the success of Tiger 3, there has been a buzz about a spin off around Katrina Kaif's character Zoya. And now Salman has reacted to the same and said that it will be incomplete without him. In an interview with News18, Salman said, "Why not? But Zoya would be really incomplete without Tiger. So, Tiger will have to be there and save the day and the climax even if he’s not there throughout the entire length of the film. I would also like to see Tiger landing up in the climax scene wherein Zoya needs him to help her complete a mission. Tiger should make sure that he and Zoya complete the task"
