Veteran actress Asha Parekh recently slammed the makers of Vivek Agnihotri-directed movie The Kashmir Files for not sharing the huge profits from their film with the Kashmiri Hindus. At the News 18 event, Parekh was asked about her opinion on controversial films such as The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story. She replied, "Maine picturein dekhi nahi hai toh main kaise controversy pe baat karun?” "Logo ne dekhi The Kashmire Files. Main thoda sa controversial statement karna chahti hoon. The film's producer made ₹400 crore. Toh unhone kitne paise diye unko jo Hindu Kashmiri hai, jo Jammu mein rehte hain, jinke paase pani nahi hai, electricity nahi hai, unko unhone kitne paise diye?".

The first song of the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal was unveiled today, October 11. Titled Hua Main, Ranbir and Rashmika elope to the mountains and have the simplest wedding, while there is lots of passionate kissing going on. Hua Main has been sung by Raghav Chaitanya and Pritam. The song is composed by Jam8, and the lyrics are written by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and will release on December 1 in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Hon’ble Information and Broadcasting Minister and Minister of Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur unveiled the trailer for the enthralling animated series ‘Bharat Hain Hum’ in New Delhi today. The series is being launched on Prime Video, Netflix, and Doordarshan as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, dedicated to shedding light on the unsung heroes of India's freedom struggle. The revolutionary series aims to also introduce the nation to lesser-known but equally significant freedom fighters whose contributions were instrumental in India's path to independence on August 15, 1947. Crafted by the talented minds of Munjal Shroff and Tilak Shetty, the series will encompass 26 captivating episodes in Season 1, each featuring an 11-minute animated narrative. The series is slated to premiere on 15 October on Doordarshan, Prime Video, and Netflix in 12 Indian and 7 international languages. Speaking about the series, Anurag Singh Thakur, Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting, said, “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Under his vision, it is our humble endeavour to reignite the nation's memory and ignite gratitude towards these unsung heroes, who deserve our unwavering admiration and respect. We have a very few heroes that the country has celebrated but there are so many unsung heroes who were not given their due credit in our history. ‘Kismat Ki Lakiro Se’ actress Sumati Singh, on World Mental Health Day, which was observed on October 10, shared her personal experience with depression and shared empowering words. She talked about her personal experience battling mental health issues and said, “Mental health is a very big topic and I feel most people are struggling with this all over the world. The awareness around good mental health is very little so only a few people understand that. In rural areas, mental health is not considered as important. In the industry, there is constant pressure of looking good; being fit, looking glamorous and competition is also there. Competition is there in every field, but in the entertainment industry, the pressure in the industry is public, and this affects us mentally. We don’t even get to know that we are under so much pressure and we become very sad, lonely and depressed. We are surrounded by glamorous people but we are actually lonely and sad. We all try to look happy, glamorous and attractive so that people follow us; this pressure of fitting into these characteristics often makes us hide all the problems.”

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 81st birthday with his family on Tuesday night. His daughter, Shweta Bachchan, took to Instagram to share a post to wish her father on the special day. She posted a collage where both hugged each other and smiled, giving different expressions as they posed for the pictures. As per reports, Gadar 2 star Sunny Deol is being approached for the role of Lord Hanuman in director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana trilogy. Quoting a source, Pinkvilla stated, "Hanuman stands for strength, and there’s no one better than Sunny Deol in the Indian Film Industry to justify what Bajrangbali stands for. The actor has shown interest in being a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s rendition of Ramayana and is also excited to play the part of Lord Hanuman. However, it’s still early stages of discussion." Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor has been finalised as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will be seen as Goddess Sita, and Yash as the evil king Raavana.

Aamir Khan has recently announced his comeback project titled Sitare Zameen Par, which will carry a similar theme to his critically acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. Talking exclusively to News18, the actor said, “I have not spoken about it publicly and I won't be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is Sitare Zameen Par. You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par and the name of this film is Sitare Zameen Par because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film, this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry this one will entertain you." Further, he added, "But the theme is the same that's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme but this time the character of the special child Ishaan in that film, my character helps that character in Taare Zameen Par, in Sitaare Zameen Par, those 9 boys, who have their own issues they help me. It's the opposite.”
