Entertainment Highlights: Controversy Over Adipurush Director Om Raut Kissing Kriti Sanon At Tirupati Temple

The Main Atal Hoon team engaged in discussions regarding their highly anticipated film, a biopic on Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, and shared their shooting plans in Lucknow. Taking to social media, Yogi Adityanath shared a photo with the film's team on his social media account.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee raised strong objections to the shooting of a scene of Gadar 2, which stars Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel, on the premises of a gurdwara. “Flower petals are being showered (on the actors). Ashish Vidyarthi who recently married Rupali Barua has reacted to trolls during a conversation with India Today, “I read words like ‘buddha-khoosat (a man who is old and decrepit)’ and many more derogatory words. What is interesting is that it is a comment (being a buddha) that each one of us, whoever is saying that, we are passing on others who are older than us, and at the same time, we are giving that fear to ourselves, because each one of us, hopefully, will become old. We are telling ourselves, ‘Hey, listen, don't do things just because you're old.’ So, does that mean you're supposed to die unhappy? If somebody wants companionship, why should he not?”

Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha paid heartfelt tributes to late actors Sulochana Latkar and Gufi Paintal. While Sulochana passed away in Mumbai on June 4, Gufi Paintal died on June 5. On Thursday, Sinha wrote, "Extremely fortunate to have played her reel son in many films as she epitomised her portrayal of a 'mother' on celluloid. Grateful, enduring, veteran Marathi and Hindi films actress Sulochana is no more. It was a great pleasure working with her and I cherish the memories from the times spent together, especially when I met her for my first film with her for Manmohan Desai's famous Raampur Ka Lakshman. She was a loving and fine human being. My deepest condolences to her family, friends, supporters, well wishers and fans in these traumatic times. May her soul find eternal peace. Om Shanti."

The head priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple expressed objections to Adipurush director kissing Kriti Sanon at Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati on June 7. He said, "This is a condemnable act. Even a husband and wife do not go there (temple) together.You can go to a hotel room and do it. Your behaviour is like insulting Ramayan and Goddess Sita."
