Anupam Kher, in an interview with ANI, reacted to the boycott calls Aamir Khan’s movie Laal Singh Chaddha faced and opined if it was the reason behind its box office failure. Speaking about the same, Kher said, "Laal Singh Chaddha was not a great film. If it were a great film then no power would've stopped it. Aamir Khan's PK worked really well. The point is that you need to accept the truth."

Composer AR Rahman’s live concert was stopped midway by police in Pune, claiming that the music maestro continued with his performance after 10 p.m., which is a permissible time limit for concerts, and hence, it was stopped. As per ANI, DCP, Zone 2 of Pune Police, Smartana Patil said, "Pune Police stopped music maestro AR Rehman from singing during his concert last night after he continued to perform beyond the permissible time of 10 pm. Rehman was singing his last song and while singing he did not realise that it was already past 10 pm, so our police official who was at the venue went and conveyed to him the deadline to be followed as per the SC guidelines after that he stopped singing.(sic)"

MasterChef Australia judge and chef Jock Zonfrillo breathed his last on Sunday, April 30 in Melbourne. He was 46. His family took to Instagram to share an official statement on his unfortunate demise. As the statement did not reveal the cause of his demise, a Victoria Police spokesperson said that his death is not being treated as 'suspicious'. The statement read, "With completely shattered hearts and without knowing how we can possibly move through life without him, we are devastated to share that Jock passed away yesterday. So many words can describe him, so many stories can be told, but at this time we’re too overwhelmed to put them into words. For those who crossed his path, became his mate, or were lucky enough to be his family, keep this proud Scot in your hearts when you have your next whisky." Zonfrillo is survived by his third wife, Lauren Fried, and four children, two from his previous wife and two from Fried.

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released in theatres on April 28. The film has earned ₹100 crore at the global box office within two days of its release. Last evening, a special screening of the film was held at the Yash Raj Films studio in Mumbai. The screening was attended by several celebs including Aishwarya Rai, her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shriya Saran, Madhoo, Kartik Aaryan, Vikram, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Prosenjit Chatterjee and several others.

During an interview with Rajat Sharma in Aap Ki Adalat, Salman Khan talked about his love life and said, "Unlucky in love. Jab koi aesa ayegi toh hojayega. Actually sabhi acche the fault mujh mein hi lie karta hai (When someone like that comes, it will happen. Actually, everyone is good, the fault lies with me). When the first leaves, the fault lies in them, when the second person leaves, the fault is with them only, when the third person leaves the fault is with them. When the fourth person leaves then there is a doubt. Is the fault with them or me? With the fifth person, it's 60-40."
