Yash Chopra’s wife, Pamela Chopra passed away on April 20. Upon her sad demise, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan penned an emotional note in his blog recalling the ‘pleasant times’ they spent together during the film shoots. He wrote, "Pamela Chopra, wife of Yash Chopra .. and life comes to a standstill ! So much to have spent with her and the film making and the music sittings and the outdoors and the homely get togethers .. all gone in a breath .. And one by one they all leave us ..all left with the pleasant times spent ..And after this ordeal of the first day .. a quick visit to Yash ji’s home and meeting the family and reliving all those years of the past ..life is so unpredictable and tough .."

It is being reported that Telegu superstar Allu Arjun is a part of the biggest pan-Indian film of the year, Jawan. He had earlier turned down the offer. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in the lead. A source dismissed the rumours that Allu turned down the offer and confirmed that he indeed shot for the film in Mumbai approximately a month ago.

The Indian rapper Honey Singh was recently accused of allegedly kidnapping and assaulting the owner of an event management agency. An FIR was filed against him by the Mumbai police. The rapper has shared a statement in this regard on Instagram that reads, "The complaint and the allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company or the complainant which the media is showing since morning. I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company named Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow. I did my performance for whatever time the permission was there for." He further wrote, "Rest all such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My Legal Team is already working to file a defamation case against such miscreants.”

Renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar was issued a fresh summons by a Mumbai court on April 20, after he failed to appear for the hearing. Akhtar’s lawyer informed the court about the same. The court has now asked Akhtar to appear on June 20, 2023. The defamation case was filed against Akhtar by a Mumbai-based lawyer, Santosh Dubey over his comments from the year 2021, where he made comparisons between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the terror organization Taliban.
