Entertainment Highlights: Celebs Mourn Satish Kaushik’s Death, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Opens Well

Mayo, a Japanese content creator, has shown her fondness for Bollywood and dancing before, and this time she went all out to recreate a popular song from the movie Bang Bang, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. She collaborated with another content creator from Japan, and the duo danced to the upbeat song Tu Meri. Their performance, which was captured in a video clip now gaining popularity on social media, saw Mayo and Kaketaku dressed in outfits resembling those of the Bollywood stars.

Directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar, the teaser of Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur's Gumraah is finally out. Featuring Kapur in his first-ever double role, the film is slated to hit the theatres on April 7.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar did a business of Rs 15.73 crore on its first release day. The rom-com is expected to grow further in the extended weekend.

Mourning Satish Shah's demise, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar took to social media and wrote, "Chanda Mama is gone. Deeply saddened to hear about Satish Kaushik ji’s demise. Will remember him for the spontaneous laughter he brought to the sets of Mr & Mrs Khiladi. Am sure he’s already making everyone smile in heaven. Om Shanti."

After many Bollywood celebrities, Bigg Boss 16 runner-up Shiv Thakare too has reacted to the sudden demise of veteran actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik.

Taking to social media, filmmaker Hansal Mehta shared a few throwback pictures of Satish Kaushik and remembered him. He wrote, "Satish ji. The film you wanted made for yourself ‘ Death of a Director’ is no longer a film. Thank you dearest Satishji for adorning my life with your warmth, generosity, goodness and talent. And yes in my next film there will be a tree called Satish."

Even a month after its release, Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, continues to rake in profits. The movie has performed exceptionally well at the box office both domestically and internationally, having already grossed Rs 1040 crore globally.

Taking to social media, Kangana Ranaut mourned the death of his Emergency co-star Satish Kaushik and called it a 'horrible news'. She tweeted, "Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti."

Directed by Luv Ranjan, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar finally got released on the occasion of Holi yesterday (March 8). As expected, the much-hyped film opened on a promising note despite getting affected due to Holi festivities and collected around Rs 14 crore (early estimates).
