Ameesha Patel Simartt Kaur: Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol are returning as Sakeena and Tara Singh in the sequel to the hit 2001 film Gadar. Gadar 2 is currently the most-anticipated film of the year and is grabbing attention for various reasons.

Besides Ameesha and Sunny, Gadar 2 also stars Utkarsh Sharma and Simratt Kaur in key roles. Utkarsh, who is director Anil Sharma's son, will be seen as Sunny and Ameesha's son, while Simratt has been roped in to play Utkarsh's wife.

However, it looks like people who are die hard fans of the original movie are upset with the casting of Simratt Kaur and have also expressed their concern on social media.

While fans are eagerly waiting to witness Sunny Deol's power on screen again in Gadar 2, many have expressed disappointment over the casting of Simratt Kaur Randhawa in the film. Simratt has worked in the Punjabi and Telugu industries, especially in B-grade films.

As Gadar is viewed as a nationalistic film and many emotions are attached to it, fans took to Twitter and shared Simratt's old film clips and pictures, in which she can be seen doing some intimate steamy scenes. Many have even tagged Ameesha and Sunny and questioned the makers for casting Simratt.

For the unversed, Simratt Kaur had been a part of the Telugu film Dirty Hari and performed some intimate scenes in it. Sharing some clips from the movie, a fanpage asked the reason behind casting such shoddy actors in the film.

Soon, Ameesha Patel came to the resume of Simratt Kaur and defended her casting in Gadar 2. She asked people to not judge without watching the film and also clarified that the images are not from Gadar.

"Spent the entire evening 2day defending the negativity sorrounding Simrat Kaur who is paired opp Utkarsh Sharma in GADAR 2!! Being a girl I request all to only spread positivity n not shame a girl! Lets encourage new talent !!," Ameesha twitted and also requested people to give love to the film.

Recently, in an interview, Ameesha Patel spoke about how Sunny Deol has changed since the original Gadar. She said, "Sunny Sir is more of a gentleman. He is more elegant, more amazing, and a lot more fun to work with. I can say we are now better friends than before. I feel he has truly become a more amazing person."

Gadar 2 is releasing on August 11 and will clash with Akshay Kumar's OMG 2.
