Gadar 2 Trailer: The unstoppable and fiery Sunny Deol returns to the big screen with his latest period-drama action film, Gadar 2. The much-awaited trailer of the movie was unveiled on Wednesday. This film serves as a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, where Deol was paired with Ameesha Patel. Once again, this dynamic duo reunites for Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, who also helmed the original film.

TRAILER OF GADAR 2 IS FINALLY OUT

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha narrated the love story of Tara Singh (Deol), a Sikh, who falls for Sakina (Patel), a Pakistani Muslim girl. The sequel continues the tale, set in Lahore during 1971, amidst the 'Crush India movement.' Tara embarks on a mission to Pakistan again, this time to rescue his son Jeete, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma.

The trailer commences with scenes of protests in Pakistani streets and an Indian soldier warning Tara Singh about the looming possibility of war. It then showcases Tara fearlessly taking on Pakistani soldiers, proudly declaring, "You don't know who Tara Singh is, ask my enemies." The preview also offers glimpses of Tara and Sakina's happy married life as they dance to 'Main Nikla Gaddi Leke' with their son Jeete.

However, the joyous atmosphere takes a dark turn as Jeete becomes a captive under the Pakistani army, enduring brutal treatment. Despite his captivity, Jeete boldly warns his captor that his father will come to rescue him and seek vengeance.

The trailer intensifies as Tara Singh storms into Pakistan to save his son. Together, Tara and Jeete face the entire Pakistani army head-on. The trailer's tagline reads, "This Independence Day, he will fight for his family and the nation." It culminates with a nod to the iconic scene from the original film, where Tara Singh displays his unmatched strength by uprooting a hand pump to confront his enemies.

Gadar 2 was announced in 2021 and initially scheduled for release in 2022. The film recently launched its promotional campaign with a teaser and is all set to hit theaters on August 11.
