Gadar 2 OTT Release: Here’s When & Where To Watch Sunny Deol & Ameesha Patel’s Film

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 has been one of the most talked about and successful films of the year. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the movie was a sequel to the popular 2001 release Gadar and marks Sunny and Ameesha's return as Tara Singh and Sakina. Just like Gadar, Gadar 2 was also well received by the audience and the movie has been doing wonders at the box office.

After witnessing a thunderous opening at the box office, Gadar 2 has been witnessing massive footfalls in the theatres owing to rave reviews and good word of mouth. And while Gadar 2 has been maintaining a strong hold at the box office, there have been speculations about the movie's OTT release.

And now as per the recent buzz, Gadar 2 will be having a OTT release in October this year. It is reported that Gadar 2 will be premiered on Zee5 on October 6. The media reports also suggested that the OTT rights of Gadar 2 were sold at Rs 50 crores.

Interestingly, post the phenomenal success of Gadar 2, there have been speculations about the third installment of the franchise. In his interview with Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny stated, "Gadar 2 laane ke liye main dar raha tha, Gadar 3 ke liye main taiyar hoon." Talking about getting offers for the remakes of other films, the actor mentioned, "I think the characters in these movies have made their place in the hearts of people. They want extensions of those characters..... There was a time when Border 2 was being planned, but it could not happen. Now that this film (Gadar 2) has clicked, everybody is energetic, I think some day or other they will be made".

Talking about the box office collection, Gadar 2 has currently crossed the Rs 517 crore mark and is moving forward to beat the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan Pathaan (Hindi) which happens to be Rs 525 crore.
