Remember Shah Rukh Khan's Swades co-star Gayatri Joshi? The actress has struck a chord with millions of hearts with her simplicity and acting prowess and her chemistry with King Khan was also on point. While the fans have been missing her presence onscreen eversince, Gayatri made the headlines for an unfortunate reason recently after she met with a deadly accident.

According to media reports, the diva and her husband Vikas Oberoi who are in Italy at the moment escaped the deadly accident in Sardania, Italy. Reportedly, the couple were travelling in their Lamborghini during the Sardinia Supercar Tour when a Ferrari smashed into a campervan and their car. A video of the shocking accident has been doing the rounds on social media which is giving goosebumps to the viewers.

In the video, several luxury cars were seen making an attempt to overtake a campervan when a car smashed into it. As the car crashed into the campervan led to multiple car collisions, it was reported that the Ferrari flipped and caught fire. The media reports also suggested that a Swiss couple - Markus Krautli (67) and his wide Melissa Krautli (63) were killed in the accident. Reportedly, they were heading to Mores from Forte Village.

As the news spread like fire, fans have been concerned about Gayatri and his husband. However, the actress shared an update about themselves and confirmed that they are fine. Talking to the Free Press Journal, the Swades actress stated, "Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here (multiple-car collision)... With God's grace, we both are absolutely fine".

Meanwhile, another couple, who were in the campervan, have reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident. As of now, the cops are investigating the matter and have seized the vehicles
