Gurdas Maan Postpones Canada Tour Amid India-Canada Diplomatic Row; Tickets To Get Refunded: Deets Inside

Gurdaas Maan Canada Tour: Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan has postponed his highly anticipated Canada tour due to the escalating diplomatic tension between India and Canada. The tour, which was scheduled from October 22 to October 31 was titled 'Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan.'
The news of the postponement was shared by the show's promoters, Gurjit Bal Productions on Facebook. The show had garnered significant attention and ticket sales, however, due to the current strained relations between the two countries, the unfortunate decision was taken.

The production house deemed the show's pushing back as the "most responsible and necessary course of action for the time being," and also assured the ticket-holders that refunds will be promptly processed.
The post by the production house reads, "We regret to inform you that Gurdas Maan's 'Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan' Canada tour, scheduled to take place this month, has been POSTPONED. We understand that this news may come as a disappointment to many of his fans and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused."
The post further read, "In light of the current diplomatic unrest between the two countries and after careful consideration and assessment of the unpredictable circumstances, it has been determined that the cancellation of the event is the most responsible and necessary course of action for the time being."
The post concluded as, "We understand the time, effort, and anticipation invested by everyone involved in the event, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this change may have caused. We will be taking the necessary steps to refund any registration fees or ticket purchases made for the event. Detailed information regarding the refund process will be shared with you directly via email/website/other preferred communication channel."

Meanwhile, the tension between India and Canada arose as Canadian PM Justin Trudeau accused India of being responsible for the death of Khalistan separatist leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, which India vehemently denied. This diplomatic rift has escalated to the point where India has suspended its visa services in Canada. India also alleged that Canada had offered refuge to Khalistan terrorists.
