‘I Don’t Consider Her Important’: Javed Akhtar Reacts To Kangana Ranaut Praising His 26/11 Comment In Pakistan

It hasn't been long since Javed Akhtar made headlines for his remarks about the 26/11 terror attacks. This happened during an event in Pakistan wherein Javed reminded a journalist about the 26/11 terror attacks after he asked him to tell the people that Pakistan is 'a positive, friendly and loving country'. While Kangana Ranaut was all praises for the lyricist and his remark, Javed Akhtar's reaction to the Queen actress' praise is making the headlines now. During an interview with NDTV, when Javed Akhtar was quizzed about Kangana's praising him, he didn't acknowledge it and tried avoiding the question.

He later responded saying, "I don't consider Kangana important so how can she make an important remark. Forget about her. Chaliye aage". For the uninitiated, this happened after Javed made a statement at an event in Pakistan, stated, "I am from Bombay and all of us witnessed the attack on Bombay. The attackers weren't from Norway, or from Egypt. They are still present in your country, so you should not be offended if an Indian complains about this". Soon Kangana was seen singing praises for Javed's befitting reply to the Pakistani journalist.

What Kangana Ranaut Wrote About Javed Akhtar?

Retweeting Javed Akhtar's video from the event, Kangana wrote, "Whenever I listen to Javed Saab's poetry I feel like Goddess Saraswati has indeed blessed him, but see there must be some truth within a person that is why divinity resides within him. Jai Hind. He made them listen to the truth in their own land".

To note, Javed Akhtar and Kangana Ranaut are known for not sharing a cordial equation with each other. In fact, Javed had even filed a defamation case against Kangana in 2020 over her defamatory remarks against him. Things took a nasty turn after Kangana also filed a complaint against the lyricist for allegedly outraging her modesty by invading her privacy.
