Jawan Advance Booking: SRK's Film Leaves Pathaan & Gadar 2 Behind; Sells Over 5 Lakh tickets For Day 1

Jawan Advance Booking: One of the most anticipated films, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is only three days away from its grand release on September 7. Helmed by Atlee, the film has witnessed phenomenal buzz at the advance booking window and is expected to fare really well at the box office.

Jawan which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles has already sold tickets worth more than 17 crores. As the bookings continue on Monday, it is expected that the numbers will grow manifold.

JAWAN ADVANCE BOOKING DETAILS

According to industry insider Sacnilk, a total of 577,255 tickets were sold for the film's first-day show in advance sales. The movie has sold a total of 5,29,568 tickets in 2D format and 11,558 tickets for IMAX shows in the Hindi market. Additionally, 19,899 tickets have been sold in the Tamil market and 16,230 tickets in the Telugu market. The movie has earned a total of Rs 16.93 crore.

MANOBALA VIJAYABALAN REFLECTS ON ADVANCE BOOKING NUMBERS

Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan in a tweet revealed that a significant portion of the film's revenue is pouring in from national multiplexes. PVR leads the pack with 112,299 tickets sold, closely followed by INOX with 75,661 tickets and Cinepolis with 40,577 tickets. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad another 58,898 tickets were sold. Kolkata follows closely with 40,035 tickets, and other major metropolitan areas, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, are also witnessing a tremendous surge in interest.

JAWAN SET TO MAKE NEW RECORDS

Jawan is poised to shatter records at the box office, as it is expected to surpass the opening day earnings of Pathaan, which stands at Rs 55 crore (Hindi). According to trade estimates, Jawan is gearing up for an earth-shattering opening of over Rs 60 crore.

Kamal Gianchandani, President of MAI, CEO of PVR Pictures Ltd, and Chief Business Planning & Strategy of PVR Ltd, told Bollywood Hungama, "It's (Jawan) currently tracking higher than Pathaan. I think it's well poised for a humongous opening. The first day can be historic."

Shashank Raizada of Delite Cinemas, New Delhi was also quoted as saying the portal that the numbers are "unprecedented." The exhibitors are witnessing advance bookings of this kind after a really long time. "The advance is higher than that of Gadar 2 and Pathaan. This is very good news for the industry," he was quoted as saying.
