Jawan Advance Booking: SRK’s Film Sells Over 50,000 Tickets In Just 2.5 Hrs; Likely To Beat Pathaan’s Records

Jawan Advance Booking: The anticipation surrounding Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming release, Jawan, has reached a fever pitch as advance booking for the film opened earlier today. In an astounding display of fervor from SRK's fans across the nation, Jawan managed to sell over 50,000 tickets in just 2.5 hours.
After the blockbuster success of Pathaan, the superstar is all set to enthrall audiences once again with Jawan, helmed by Atlee. Scheduled for a theatrical release on September 7, the film's advance booking, which began this morning, is already rewriting the records.
JAWAN OFF TO A MONUMENTAL START IN ADVANCE BOOKING
The staggering pace at which tickets are being sold suggests that Jawan could surpass its predecessor's records. As per a report by Pinkvilla, Pathaan had sold 1.17 lakh tickets on the first day of ticket sales, but Jawan seems poised to cross the 1.20 lakh mark for the opening day alone if the current trend continues.
Thanks to the immense buzz, tickets that are priced at as high as Rs 2.4k are also selling immensely. With these advance booking reports, industry insiders are now speculating that Jawan might even surpass expectations and achieve something truly extraordinary on its release day.
Sharing the details, film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, "Jawan advance bookings are on fire (fire emoji). Off to a splendid start after Jawan trailer. Sold 20.26K tickets in the last one hour from BookMyShow portal in India. Jawan is all set to become the 2nd ₹100 crore opener for Shah Rukh Khan after Pathaan.That will make him the first ever actor to achieve the feat in Bollywood history."
Furthermore, Taran Adarsh also tweeted, "Jawan advance booking status: Flying start at national chains! Note: Tickets sold for Thursday/ Day 1 at national chains... Update: Friday, 11.45 am. PVR + INOX: 32,750 and Cinepolis: 8,750. Total: 41,500 tickets sold."
The film which is set to release in theatres on September 7 also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.
The trailer of the film was released on August 31 at the iconic Burj Khalifa.
