Exclusive! Is Jawan 2 happening? Here's what actress Lehar Khan has to say

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has become a blockbuster at the box office. The movie has collected Rs. 369.43 crore at the box office in India till now, and it is expected to do well at the ticket windows in the upcoming days as well. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars many actresses in pivotal roles and one of them is Lehar Khan. She plays the role of Kalki in the film and has many important scenes in it.

Jawan ends with a hint that there will be a sequel made, and even SRK while interacting with his fans on Twitter hinted that Jawan 2 will happen. Filmibeat recently interacted with Lehar and when asked about Jawan 2, she said, "I have zero idea and why do you think that even if I have an idea about it (Jawan) I will tell you here (laughs)." When asked if this was also a hint, she quipped, "No."

Lehar started her career as a child actor with the Jalpari which was released in 2014. In these nine years, she has been a part of movies like Parched, Brahmastra, and Jawan, and did a web series titled Dahan.

When we asked Lehar if she had been choosy in picking up the projects, the actress said, "I was very choosy. I think it also comes from a place where both my parents never forced me that 'you have to start working and earning'. There was a space for me in my house that 'whatever you want to do, do it accordingly'. For me, Jalpari was more like a vacation as I was just 11 years old and I was just happy that I didn't have to go to school. After that film, I was still in the space of understanding whether I wanted to act or not."

"When Parched happened, it was a life-changing experience for me. Till Parched, acting was choosing me, but after that, I chose acting. After that film, I told my parents that I wanted to act and we shifted to Mumbai. I did less projects, but they were good projects," she added.

Apart from SRK and Lehar, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and others.
