While Sarbh refrained from taking a name, netizens feel his statements were directed toward Ranveer Singh. Notably, he shared the screen with Ranveer Singh, portraying Malik Kafur in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical epic, Padmaavat.

During a candid discussion with The Quint, Jim Sarbh candidly shared his thoughts on an actor who allegedly exaggerated their character preparation. A video clip from this interview went viral on Reddit, that captures Sarbh saying, "There are those actors who claim, 'I was so immersed in my character that I needed weeks of mental therapy afterward.' I mean, come on. You weren't even familiar with your lines on the day - what nonsense."

NETIZENS REACT TO JIM SARBH'S STATEMENT

His statement about actors went viral and garnered several reactions. A user wrote, "It's "Ranveer for sure. SLB mentioned this in an interview." Another user wrote, "Ranveer truly oversells his so called struggles lol but then again the range he has displayed throughout his career.. maybe he needs to do all that to nail every single role."

"Akshay Kumar also shaded Ranveer sayin actors who lock themselves in a room for prep. They're just having "fun" in that room," read a third comment. "Well, Ranveer does over exaggerates everything, trying to portray himself as a struggler," another comment on the sub read.
