Kajol Deepfake Video

Kajol Deepfake Video: Following the instances involving Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif, Kajol is the latest actor whose Deepfake video has made it to the internet. In the past month, the internet has witnessed a notable surge in Deepfake videos, a technological phenomenon that blurs the boundary between reality and fiction. A video featuring a Deepfake of Kajol has gone viral across various social media platforms.

ALL ABOUT KAJOL'S DEEPFAKE CONTROVERSY

Adding to the recent wave of such controversies, an altered video of Kajol has surfaced on the internet. The original footage showcases influencer Rosie Breen, who initially shared the clip on TikTok as part of the 'Get Ready With Me' trend.

This new video emerges amid growing concerns about Deepfakes, sparked by the viral clip of another popular actor, Rashmika Mandanna. In this Deepfake, Breen's face is replaced with that of Kajol, portraying the My Name Is Khan star changing clothes on camera.

WHO IS ROSIE BREEN?

According to the fact-checking platform BOOM, the original video belonged to the social media influencer Rosie, and Kajol's face had been digitally added to the footage. Briefly, the manipulated video reveals the face of the original woman. The report indicates that the unaltered video was uploaded on TikTok on June 5 as part of the "Get Ready With Me" (GRWM) trend.

The increasing apprehensions surrounding the misuse of deepfake technology have raised serious concerns, particularly after manipulated content involving other prominent celebrities like Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif gained widespread attention.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently underscored the severity of the threat posed by Deepfakes, labeling them as one of the biggest challenges faced by India. He expressed that Deepfakes could instigate chaos in society and urged the media to play a role in educating the public about this technology. PM Modi emphasized the need for citizens and the media to remain vigilant in the face of such events, recounting an incident where he saw a realistic deepfake video of himself engaging in the traditional dance form of Garba.

So far, Kajol hasn't reacted to the controversy.
