Kangana Ranaut Performs Ravan Dahan: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was invited to perform the Ravan Dahan in New Delhi on the auspicious day of Dussehra. The actress became the first woman to set ablaze Ravana's effigy at Delhi's famed Lav Kush Ramlila at the Red Fort on Tuesday in the 50-year history of the event.

Ranaut set the effigy of the demon king ablaze by shooting an arrow and chanted 'Jai Shri Ram'. However, she failed in her attempts and is now getting trolled for the same.

Kangana, along with her sister Rangoli Chandel, made their way onto the stage for Ravan Dahan. She picked a beautiful bright red Banarasi saree and tied her hair up into a neat bun. She added flowers, a bindi, and heavy traditional jewellery to complete the look. The Queen actress was joined by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

Scores of people, including a large number of women, were seen at the venue to catch a glimpse of the actor as she enthusiastically set the denim kind ablaze. She was also seen chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Amid this, a video that is doing the rounds on Reddit showed Kangana with a bow in her hand and failing to shoot it towards Ravan's effigy. People around her were seen assisting with how to shoot the arrow, but her three attempts failed.

Without letting her spirits dampen, she could finally shoot the arrow with the help of Lav Kush Ramlila Committee members.

Kangana Ranaut trolled

Meanwhile, a section of users on Reddit trolled her for her failed attempts and called her an embarrassment. A user wrote, "This gives me second hand embarrassment." Another person said, "So much for being the stunt/action queen of Bollywood." "So painful to watch ," a comment read.

"I can't imagine the kind of anxiety, embarrassment Kanagana must be feeling at that time," another added. One said, "A laughing stock everywhere." "This was too hard to watch," a user commented.

Speaking about inviting Kangana for the Ravan Dahan, Arjun Singh, president of the Lav Kush Ramlila Committee of Delhi, told news agency PTI, "Be it a film star or a politician, every year we have a VIP grace our event. In the past, we have had former President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi do the honours. Among film stars, Ajay Devgn and John Abraham have been here. Last year, Prabhas did the Ravan Dahan. For the first time in 50 years of our event, it will be a woman who will do the Ravan Dahan."

Ranaut will next be seen as an Indian Air Force pilot in Tejas, which is scheduled to release on October 27.
