‘It’s A Traditional Indian…: Kangana Ranaut Offers CLARIFICATION; Slams Those Who Called Her Headgear A Crown

Kangana Ranaut: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently took over the internet as she shared pictures from her latest photoshoot. Kangana looked like absolute royalty donning an ethereal blue and red lehenga with a rust and olive green colored blouse and a dupatta.

Kangana completed her regal look with an authentic and elegant headpiece. However, her accessory was dubbed a 'crown'. After which the queen actress offered a clarification while slamming the people who termed it a crown.

She wrote that it was traditional Indian jewelry, not a crown. Kangana took to Twitter and replied to a news portal that called it a crown, and wrote, "It's not a crown it's a traditional Indian jewel... very popular in Punjab and Himachal... in Punjab it's known as Saggi phool and Himachal it's a variation of chakk... even Indians don't know about their heritage, especially these embarrassing jurnos ..."

While the original tweet has been deleted, here's the response of the actress.

Kangana even shared pictures of Punjabi women wearing Saggi on her Instagram stories and wrote, "Traditional Saggi Phool in Punjab." "Various headgears in Himachal," she wrote as she shared another picture of a woman in a similar headpiece.

The actress had shared pictures from her photoshoot and wrote, "You don't choose your dreams ... they choose you ... trust and take that leap."

Sharing another video of her look, she wrote, "Love is not a choice that you can make ... honestly there is no way out ... you have no other choice."

Meanwhile, Kangana recently made headlines after she claimed that she was the one who started the airport fashion trend in 2018. She shared pictures of her airport looks from the past and called herself a victim of civilisation. She also mentioned that she no longer wishes to follow the trends.

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in Emergency, essaying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She has also worn the director's cap for the movie. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Pupul Jayakar in important roles.
