Recently, Kangana Ranaut was speaking at News18 'Amrit Ratna' 2023, where she didn't name anyone but stressed how a soldier would feel when an Indian celeb extended support to a Pakistani or Chinese artist.
She also stated how this expression of support might affect their morale. Not only this, but she also proposed that compulsory military training be introduced after graduation to get rid of lazy people and instill discipline in them.
She said, "Our soldiers ask when Bollywood is showcasing its love for the artists of China and Pakistan, cricketers are hugging them, then am I the only one who thinks of them as enemies? Is the animosity between the two countries only for me?"
"This is why we have made Tejas. It showcases how a soldier feels when people of the country talk behind his back while he is fighting at the border," the Dhaakad actress added.
Proposing mandatory military service after graduation in India, Ranaut said, "We will get rid of these lazy and irresponsible people if military training is made compulsory in the country for every child after graduation. It will inculcate discipline in them."
Kangana about Tejas
Talking about her upcoming movie Tejas, she said, "We have made a film called Tejas that explores the emotional journey of a soldier stationed at the borders, delving into the psyche of an Indian soldier and the impact of discussions on their morale. When you speak disparagingly about our soldiers. When you speak disparagingly about our soldiers, questioning their dedication and even refusing to stand for the national anthem, it not only disheartens them but also reflects a lack of responsibility."
About Tejas
Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, India's first female fighter pilot, in Tejas. The film is releasing on October 27.
