Kangana Ranaut On Pay Disparity: Known for being outspoken and forthright in expressing her opinions and beliefs, Kangana Ranaut is once again making waves on social media. The actress recently claimed that it is only her that gets paid like male actors in Bollywood.

The Queen actress through an Instagram story, reacted to Priyanka Chopra's interviews with BBC from last year, wherein she candidly spoke about the pay disparity in the Hindi film industry.
In the small clip, PeeCee revealed that even after doing around 60 films, she only got around 10% of what her male co-actors were paid.Kangana wrote in the caption. "It's true women before me simply submitted to these patriarchal norms... I was the first one to fight for pay parity and the most disgusting thing that I faced while doing this was that my contemporaries offered to work for free on the same roles that I was negotiating for... I can say with confidence most A-listers (women) do films for free along with offering other favours because they fear roles will go to the right people... and then shrewdly release articles that they are the highest paid, haha..."

The Thalaivi actress also claimed that it is only her in the Hindi film industry gets paid like male actors. "In the film industry, everyone knows that only I get paid like male actors and no one else... and they have no one else to blame at least now," Kangana concluded.

Meanwhile, Kangana has always been a vocal critic of prevalence of nepotism and favoritism in the industry. She has accused powerful industry insiders of creating an unwelcoming environment for outsiders and promoting nepotism by giving special treatment to star kids.
