Adding fuel to the dating rumors, it's been rumored that Kartik and Tara may be sharing the screen in the highly anticipated movie, Aashiqui 3. A Filmfare report stated, "Tara Sutaria has been cast as the female lead in the much-loved franchise. The film is also reportedly supposed to go on floors in January next year."

During a conversation with IndiaToday, Bhushan Kumar said, "Hopefully, we will start Anurag Basu and Kartik Aaryan's film by the end of January."
