Rekha’s Co-Star Mangal Dhillon Dies Of Cancer; Yashpal Sharma Mourns His Demise

In what came as a shocking news from the Bollywood industry, renowned actor-director Mangal Dhillon passed away. According to media reports, Mangal Dhillon breathed his last in Ludhiana. The media reports also suggested that he wasn't keeping well for a while and was battling cancer.
It is reported that he was hospitalised for a couple of days owing to his deteriorated health. The news of his demise was confirmed by Yashpal Sharma who took to his Facebook account to mourn Mangal Dhillon's demise. He took to the social networking site and wrote, "Mangal Dhillon Ji" along with a sad emoticon.
To note, Mangal Dhillon was a renowned actor, director, producer and is known for his work in Bollywood and Punjabi film industry. For the uninitiated, Mangal Dhillon has been a part of several hit movies and has worked with stars like Sunny Deol, Rekha, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Anupam Kher etc.
Mangal Dhillon was also associated with theatre and completed his post-graduate diploma course in acting in 1980. He made his acting debut with TV serial Katha Sagar in 1986 which was premiered on DD National. He was seen in several tv series like Buniyaad, Ghutan, Junoon etc.
He went on to make his Bollywood debut in 1988 with Rekha and Kabir Khan starrer Khoon Bhari Maang wherein he did a cameo in the role of advocate. He was later seen in Bhrashtachar, Azaad Desh Ke Gulam, Pyar Ka Devta, Akayla, Vishwatma, Dil Tera Aashiq etc.
He was last seen in Toofan Singh which was a 2017 release Toofan Singh which was a biography of Sikh Militant fighter Toofan Singh. Mangal Dhillon's last Bollywood film happened to be the 2003 release Janasheen which featured Fardeen Khan and Celina Jaitley.
Apart from acting, Mangal Dhillon also had a production company and made a well-received historical film entitled Khalsa. Besides, he had bankrolled several Punjabi religious films.
