EXCLUSIVE! Mission Raniganj Actress Geetanshi Lamba Talks About Her Character, Experience And Feedback

Actress Geetanshi Lamba, who was seen in the recently released film Mission Raniganj, has been basking in the glory of the compliments by the audiences. The actress, through her portrayal of Rekha struck a chord with the audience in the film based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal. Recently, in a conversation with us, Geetanshi shared details about her character, her experience and the kind of response she is getting.

Giving a sneak peek to her character, Geetanshi says, "I played the character of Rekha, a girl from a 80's rural background, who comes from an underprivileged family. Her life alters when her father gets stuck inside a mine one night before her wedding, so her happiness and wedding jitters take a back seat, and she gets worried about her father. My character plays an important role in the film and I got to explore a variety of emotions due to the ordeal my character goes through."

Sharing the experience of shooting for the film, Geetanshi told Filmibeat, "The experience was so overwhelming. I got to learn a lot while playing this character and the energy was electrifying due to the talented and experienced people on the set. It was a very big responsibility for me, but I am proud of the end result."

Lastly, sharing the kind of feedback she is receiving about her performance, Geetanshi quipped, "I am receiving a wonderful and satisfying response from the audience. People appreciated my performance and told me that they felt connected to my character. Being an actor, I am deliriously happy to see the amount of recognition I am receiving."
