The actor, who was last seen in Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2, is now grabbing eyeballs for his recent release Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue opposite Parineeti Chopra. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the movie happens to be a disaster thriller which is based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989, in West Bengal.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, this Akshay starrer will be making a collection of Rs 3.50 crores on the first day. Interestingly, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue is witnessing a box office clash with Bhumi Pednekar starrer Thank You For Coming which also features Kusha Kapila, Anil Kapoor, Karan Kundrra, Shehnaaz Gill and Shibani Bedi in the lead.
