Box Office Update: After the debacle of Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2023, Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji returned to the silver screens with this week's release Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The film also features Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh, and Anirban Bhattacharya among others in important roles.
The inspiration for the film came from the real-life incident of an Indian couple whose children were taken away by Norwegian authorities in 2011. The movie revolves around the mother's fight with the authorities to get her kids back.

Interestingly, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway not only shattered the previous records but also surpassed the record held by Pathaan in Norway. The film has grossed $600k in the overseas market, and it is expected to perform even better in the upcoming days.
As for the movie's domestic earnings, it has reportedly made more than Rs 6 crore in India in the first three days of its release.
