The videos of the actors went viral on social media. While some appreciated their actions, others slammed them for not following traffic rules.

AMITABH BACHCHAN TAKES A LIFT FROM A FAN

While Amitabh Bachchan took a lift from a fan, Anushka rode as a pillion with her bodyguard after a roadblock. The pictures and videos of the actors were widely circulated on social media. After receiving complaints from social media users, Mumbai police initiated an action against them for violating traffic rules by not wearing a helmet.

On Monday, Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture of himself taking a bike ride with a fan. The actor wrote, "Thank you for the ride buddy .. don't know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped, shorts and yellowed T-shirt owner."

Reacting to the post, a Twitterati tagged Mumbai Police and wrote, "Missing helmets for both rider and pillion. @MumbaiPolice please take note!"

Mumbai police soon responded to the tweet and wrote, "We have shared this with traffic branch."

ANUSHKA SHARMA TAKES A BIKE RIDE

Incidentally, when the video of Anushka Sharma riding a bike surfaced on the internet, a user tagged Mumbai police and wrote, "@MumbaiPolice No helmet?"

In a tweet, Mumbai Police said that the traffic police have been informed. "We have shared this with the traffic branch," read the tweet.
