Filmmaker-actor Satish Kaushik passed away after suffering a heart attack on early Thursday morning at the age of 66. His close friend Neena Gupta remembered him in a heartfelt video.

Thursday morning came with sad news about filmmaker-actor Satish Kaushik's demise, following a heart attack. He was 66. His mortal remains will be brought back from Delhi to Mumbai by 3 pm and his last rites will take place at his Versoa home. Condolences are pouring in from all corners for the actor and actress Neena Gupta, who shared a special bond with Satish, also mourned the actor's death in an emotional video.
NEENA GUPTA BIDS FAREWELL TO FRIEND SATISH KAUSHIK
Neena Gupta and Satish Kaushik's friendship dates back to the 70s, when they were in college. Both actors are from Delhi and share a close bond. Taking to Instagram, Neena shared an emotional video message in which she spoke about waking up to the sad news and how he used to call her Nancy. She also hoped that his wife and daughter would find the strength to sail through this difficult time and that she would always be there with them.

NEENA GUPTA ABOUT SATISH KAUSHIK'S FRIENDSHIP IN HER AUTOBIOGRAPHY
For the uninitiated, Neena had revealed in her autobiography that Satish Kaushik made her an offer of marriage when she was pregnant with her daughter Masaba out of wedlock. Speaking about it to Daily, Satish had said, "I used to appreciate the fact that a girl at that time decided to have a child out of wedlock. As a true friend, I simply stood by her and gave her confidence."
Most recently, Kaushik was seen in films such as Chhatriwali and Thar, among others. He last filmed for Kangana Ranaut's political drama, Emergency, in which he will be seen as defence minister Jagjivan Ram.
