The film industry witnessed one of the most shocking news this morning as renowned art director Nitin Desai was found dead in his studios in Karjat. According to media reports, Nitin Desai died by suicide and the reason behind his drastic step is yet to be known. As of now, police is investigating the matter.

Releasing a statement in the matter, Somnath Gharge, SP, Raigad, stated, "Today morning, Shri Nitin Desai's body was found hanging in ND Studios. We are investigating all angles".

The reports of Nitin's unfortunate demise has sent down a wave of shock and grief across the nation. Amid this, Nitin's last Instagram post is going viral on social media. The ace filmmaker shared his last post on July 16 to celebrate a special love story that changed his life forever.

We are talking about Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala starrer 1942: A Love Story. To note, Nitin Desai had shot to fame with Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 1994 film and ever since then there was no looking back for him. And as 1942: A Love Story clocked 29 years of release, Nitin celebrated it with a special note in his last Instagram post.

Taking to his Instagram post, Nitin Desai shared the poster of the iconic film. He captioned the post as, "The story of your favorite love story has completed 29 years #bollywood #filmfare #award #indiancinema #anilkapoor #screenawards". His post definitely left the fans emotional as he celebrated his special film.

Meanwhile, the social media is abuzz with tweets mourning Nitin Desai's demise. Shekhar Suman took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted, "Shocking and sad to hear that Nitin Desai, one of the greatest art directors of all times, committed suicide. We have lost a precious gem. RIP".

On the other hand, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, "I am heartbroken and sad beyond control to learn about my dearest friend Nitin Desai's death. A legendary Production designer, a visionary who made ND Studio... Nitin not only loved Pallavi and I, he always guided me even in films we didn't do together. Why Nitin, why? ॐ शांति।"
