Nushrratt Bharuccha On Dream Girl 2: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is set to make audiences laugh once again as he returns in the sequel to the popular movie Dream Girl. While the first installment featured him alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha, in the sequel she has been replaced by Ananya Panday.

Prior to the movie's release, Nushrratt revealed that she feels uncertain about why she wasn't approached for the sequel. She also talked about how much she loves being a part of Dream Girl.

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was loved in Ekta Kapoor's 2019 comedy Dream Girl, finally broke her silence on being replaced by Ananya Panday in its sequel. Speaking to ETimes, the actress shared, "I was a part of Dream Girl 1, and I love that whole team."

She then added, "I terribly miss working with them. But why they didn't cast me in Dream Girl 2."

Further, saying that only makers have an answer for why she was not approached for the film, Nushrratt said, "I don't know, there is no logic and there is no answer to it. But why didn't they cast me? I am a human being, so of course it hurts. And of course it feels unfair. But I get it, it is their decision. Cool, no problem."

Nushrratt Bharuccha on Dream Girl 2 release clashing with her film Akelli

Nushrratt Bharuccha's upcoming thriller movie Akelli is clashing with Dream Girl 2 at the box office. Reacting to the coincidence, she stated, "I didn't know my film was going to be released on the same day as 'Dream Girl 2'."

"Technically my film was to release on the 18th (August) but because of some censor issues, we didn't have permissions of certain kind and we had to delay it. We didn't want to, but had to. Raj sir reacted to my story and said, 'All the best'. And I responded to him saying, 'Sir, something is connected in our universe," she added.

She then went on to say, "I wasn't in your film, but my second film is releasing on the same day'. So we have come to a place where we can smile about it."

Nushrratt Bharuccha reacts to Dream Girl 2 trailer

In the same interview, when asked if she has watched the Dream Girl 2 trailer, the actress said, "I have watched it and I think it's exactly in the right space. It's good and what they do best in comedy. And I really hope that for Ayushmann, for Ananya, for Raj sir and everybody, this film does really well."
