OMG 2: CBFC Orders 20 Cuts, Adults Only Certificate To Akshay Kumar Starrer; Makers NOT OKAY With Changes?

OMG 2 Censor Certificate: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly ordered as many as 20 cuts in Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, OMG 2. It is being reported that makers are hesitant to comply with the suggested modifications.

According to sources, the examining committee of the CBFC raised concerns over certain content in the Amit Rai directorial, prompting it to be sent for review to the revising committee. The revising committee of the censor board has now reportedly watched the movie and ordered significant visual and audio deletions, which includes in the 20 suggested cuts.

Moreover, the film has also reportedly received an 'Adults Only' certificate due to its theme revolving around sex education. Earlier this year, it was stated that the certification of OMG 2 was temporarily withheld by CBFC, and the revising committee was called in to provide input on the film's content.

A source was quoted as saying by Bollywood Hungama, "In all, the RC has asked for 20 cuts. These include both visual and audio deletions. On top of it, they have also suggested the makers opt for an adults-only certification."

The source further added, "However, the makers are not comfortable with these cuts as they believe that it'll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an 'A' certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages."

Acknowledging that the film's prequel, OMG Oh My God (2012), gained popularity among children, the decision to certify the follow-up as suitable only for adults is being questioned. According to the source of the entertainment portal, a deadlock currently exists between the involved parties, and it remains uncertain if they can find common ground before the scheduled release date of the film on August 11.

Along with Akshay Kumar, OMG Oh My God 2 also stars Yami Gautam Dhar and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
