August Movie Releases: As August approaches, Bollywood gears up for an exciting month with six anticipated films set to hit the box office, featuring familiar faces and intriguing storylines.

Three notable sequels, Gadar 2 and Oh My God 2, and Dream Girl 2 are set for a tussle on August 11, and the industry is hopeful for their success.

JAILER

Among the films releasing this month, superstar Rajnikanth's Jailer will mark the first big release on August 10. The film, also starring Ramya Krishnan and Jackie Shroff, has been generating buzz, especially for Tamannaah Bhatia's item dance.

GADAR 2

One of the highly-waited releases of August is Gadar 2. Starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead, the sequel comes after a long gap of twenty-two years since the blockbuster Gadar was released in 2001.

This time, the film will follow Sunny's journey to Pakistan to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who is in the army and held captive by the Pakistani forces. Gadar 2 is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 11.

The film in which Akshay Kumar plays Lord Shiva is mired in controversies. AKELI

Akeli featuring Nushrat Bharucha, tells the gripping tale of a woman trapped in a war-torn Islamic country, held captive by terrorists. The film will clash with Ghoomer and hit the theaters on August 18.

DREAM GIRL 2
