‘Ghar mein aake beizzat’: Pakistani Celebs Condemn Javed Akhtar’s 26/11 Remarks
Seems Javed Akhtar’s Mumbai attack comment did not go down well with the Pakistani celebrities.

Javed Akhtar recently attended an event in Pakistan where he spoke about how terrorists behind the infamous 2008 Mumbai attacks are still roaming free in Pakistan. While the prolific writer's straight-forward remark was appreciated in India, it has surely irked Pakistani celebrities, who condemned Javed and called out for his selective criticism.
The furious Celebrities including Saboor Aly, Shaan Shahid and Anoushey Ashraf questioned the 'self-respect' of those Pakistanis, who showered Javed with immense respect and hailed him despite his alleged anti-Pakistan statements.
The Pakistani actress, Saboor Aly took to Instagram to share a series of long note in Urdu. Her note states that, "someone is coming to your soil and insulting your country, and you are celebrating him. Giving him respect and sitting at his feet. It is such a shame"
She further called out the people who never gave the same respect to the artists of their own country and said that where were all the appreciators of art when the artists in their own country were at the end of their lives as they could not afford healthcare.

Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid also took a dig at Javed Akhtar and said that Javed Akhtar remained silent about the Gujarat riots where several Musilms were killed, but was searching for 2008 Mumbai attacks in Pakistan. The actor further questioned who had issued a visa to the lyricist so he could come to Pakistan. He tweet reads, "Inko Gujarat mein musalmanoon ke qatil ka tu pata hai lekin yeh khamosh hain... aur ab yeh sahab Pakistan main 26/11 ke mulzimoon ko dhoond rahay hain. Isko visa kis ne dia"
Meawnhile, VJ Anoushey Ashraf tweeted, Giving respect to a guest is essential. But never at the cost of your own self respect. The way some were hanging off javed akhtar sb's leg in admiration was a tad bit extra willingness to please. Maybe he'd be weary of his words if we'd shown him the dignity we have? (or lack?)
