Aftermaking it big in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra has become a global sensation now. However, the actress recently opened up on why she left Hindi film cinema and moved to the west. She said she felt she was being pushed into the corner and she was also tired of Bollywood politics.

Priyanka, who is currently gearing up for her upcoming release, Citadel, was speaking to Dax Shepherd on his Spotify podcast Armchair Expert. She sought support from her Fashion co-star Kangana Ranaut and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. Now, Apurva Asrani, and PeeCee's actor-sister, Meera Chopra have come out in support of the Dil Dhadakne Do actress.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA SAYS SHE WAS PUSHED INTO A CORNER

Priyanka on the podcast was quoted as saying, "I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break."

APURVA ASRANI PRAISES PRIYANKA CHOPRA

The editor-filmmaker, Apurva Asrani praised Priyanka Chopra and said that it was a massive win she didn't end up like Praveen Babi and Sushant Singh Rajput. Taking to his Twitter handle, Apurva wrote, "Finally Priyanka Chopra reveals what everyone knew, but said not a word. Not the liberals, not the feminists. They hail those that ostracized her, celebrate the kings that tried to destroy her. It is a massive win that she didn't end up like Parveen Babi or Sushant Singh Rajput."

MEERA CHOPRA SAYS AN OUTSIDER IS ALWAYS AN OUTSIDER

Meera Chopra also reacted to PeeCee's post and said in a tweet, "No matter how big or successfull an outsider becomes, but in the end they willl still be an outsider. Cutting them, smothering them will never stop, if u dont follow the rule book. But what @priyankachopra achieved is a tight slap on their faces!!"
