Priyanka
Chopra's
Citadel
Makes
A
Sexual
Joke
At
Kate
Middleton:
Headlined
by
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Richard
Madden,
the
Amazon
Prime
spy
series
is
under
fire
for
making
a
sexual
joke
against
the
Princess
Of
Wales,
Kate
Middleton.
PRIYANKA
CHOPRA'S
CITADEL
TAKES
A
BRUTAL
DIG
AT
KATE
MIDDLETON
In
the
third
episode
of
the
series,
PeeCee's
character,
Nadia
Sinh
has
a
conversation
with
her
partner,
Mason
Kane/Kyle
Conroy
(essayed
by
Richard
Madden)
via
an
earpiece.
She
instructs
him
to
meet
the
crime
boss,
Balduino
Basto
(Sen
Monro)
to
negotiate
a
deal
with
the
military.
After
which,
Balduino
takes
a
diss
at
Kate,
as
he
says,
"The
chief
of
armed
forces?
You
might
as
well
have
asked
me
how
to
get
between
the
legs
of
the
Duchess
of
Cambridge."
The
controversial
statement
in
the
series
has
put
Priyanka
on
the
receiving
end
of
Twitterati,
as
she
is
said
to
be
sharing
a
close
bond
with
Meghan
Markle,
who
is
Kate's
sister-in-law.
And
Meghan
and
Kate
are
said
to
be
each
other's
rivals.
It
is
noted
that
neither
Prime
Video
nor
Chopra
Jonas
has
addressed
the
remarks
against
Princess
Kate.
The
Duchess
of
Cambridge
has
also
not
reacted
to
the
issue.
Netizens
seem
to
be
divided
on
the
stance
as
some
feel
Priyanka
Chopra
should
be
kept
out
of
it
as
neither
she
was
in
the
scene
nor
she
uttered
the
dialogue,
whereas
others
slammed
her
for
the
'vile
and
gratuitous'
statement.
Meanwhile,
Citadel's
Indian
counterpart,
which
is
a
spin-off
to
Priyanka
and
Richard's
ongoing
series
will
star
Samantha
Ruth
Prabhu
and
Varun
Dhawan
in
the
lead.
The
series
will
be
headlined
by
The
Family
Man's
director
duo,
Raj
and
DK.
PeeCee
recently
revealed
the
news
and
said
that
"Raj
and
DK
are
so
amazing,
so
talented
and
they'll
bring
their
own
spin
to
the
Indian
installment.
So,
I'm
very
excited."
