Priyanka Chopra Can't Stop Smiling As She Graces NMACC Gala With Nick Jonas In 60-Year-Old Banarasi Saree

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas: The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre launch was a star-studded event with Bollywood's A-list celebrities in attendance, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and many more. International celebrities like Nick Jonas, Gigi Hadid, and Penelope Cruz, among others, were also spotted. The second day of the event promises to be even more spectacular with the India in Fashion exhibit, which features an array of costumes, and has drawn numerous Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities to the NMACC.

On the second day of the NMACC gala event, Priyanka Chopra arrived with her singer husband Nick Jonas hand in hand. The pictures and videos of the power couple posing together are going viral on social media. We see Priyanka smiling her heart out and giggling as she and Nick hold each other close on the pink carpet.

For the event, Priyanka wore designer Amit Aggarwal's custom ensemble, a colourful statement skirt with a thigh-high slit that was crafted by pairing a 60-year-old vintage Banarasi brocade saree made using silver threads and gold electroplating on Khadi silk, draped over and structured with a jewel-toned, moulded body made of unique crafted material, and paired with a signature sequins-sheet-holographic bustier. A part of the saree was wrapped around her hand.

Speaking more about Chopra's outfit, the brocade was set on an ikat weave and used as a base to craft the bustier, which was constructed with Amit's signature sequin sheets in holographic hues to reflect the nine colours of the ikat. The ensemble was crafted over six months, with the vintage textiles handwoven in the craft clusters of Varanasi.

Nick Jonas, on the other hand, wore a navy blue velvet jacket with a dark blue shirt and a pair of pants.

Nick and Priyanka arrived in Mumbai on Friday with their daughter Malti Marie, which is her first visit to India. Earlier, on Saturday, Nick posted a selfie of himself wearing a lime-coloured printed kurta and wrote, "India... I've missed you."
