I Really Put A Stop..: Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About MAJOR Age-Gap Between Her & Hubby Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas age gap: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are the most loved couples in the entertainment industry. They are not only adorable but have time and again dished out major couple goals. The actress got married to Nick in 2018 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in a grand wedding. Priyanka and Nick have an almost 10-year age gap, and this has always been the hot topic of discussion since then.

However, this has also seemed to bother Chopra, as she recently opened up about the striking age gap between her and her singer husband Nick. The Citadel star was approached by Nick Jonas in 2016, when she was already in a complicated relationship. Without revealing her ex's name, Priyanka said that she initially didn't want to engage with Nick during their initial conversation as she was 35 years old and the Sucker singer was 25.

Contrary to the popular belief that she got engaged to her husband in just two months of knowing him, Priyanka, while speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, revealed that she thought Nick was too young for her. "He (Nick) slid into my DMs in Twitter. I was in a tumultuous relationship at that time. This is 2016 and we had common friends who like didn't want me to be in my [previous] relationship. They were like 'Oh, he is single too. He is not really with that girl but he is..' It was complicated on both our ends."

The Desi girl further went on to say that she was a serious monogamous person by nature and had been in long relationships of 6 to 5 years on average. She added, "When Nick texted me in 2016, slid into my DM and we started chatting, I was at the end of my last long relationship before Nick. I didn't want to engage as much at the time. I was like 35, he was 25. I really put a stop on it in a way because I judged the book by the cover. I said, 'I wanna settle down. I have been there and done the fun days.' I was like ready to get serious, not realising my husband was actually a dear old man stuck in a 25-year-old's body."

It was in 2017 when Nick Jonas and Priyanka first met at the Met Gala. They began dating in May 2018, and the adorable couple were engaged two months later. They got married on December 1, 2018. While the family welcomed their first child, daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in January 2022 via surrogacy.

Meanwhile, workwise, Priyanka Chopra will be next seen in the thriller series Citadel, which will be followed by Love Again with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. She also has Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
