Just days after Elvish Yadav took Haryana to the national headlines after creating history by becoming the first wild card contestant to win Bigg Boss OTT 2, the Haryanvi music industry witnessed a massive jolt. This happened after the sudden demise of the renowned Haryanvi singer Raju Punjabi who breathed his last on August 22 at the age 40.
According to a report published in Dainik Bhaskar, Raju Punjabi was suffering from Hepatitis C aka 'Kala Piliya' and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hissar. The media reports suggested that he was admitted to the hospital around 10 days ago and was even put on a ventilator after his health deteriorated. It is reported that Raju Punjabi's last rites will be performed in his village Rawatsar Kheda.

* His jodi with Haryanvi singer and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sapna Choudhary was quite popular among fans. They had given hits like Sweety, Panihari, Jalebi, Miss India etc.
* He is married to Mamta and they have two daughters together - Bindu and Nobita. He often used to share adorable posts with his daughters on social media.
* Raju Punjabi's last song titled Aapse Milke Yaara Mujhko Acha Laga was released on August 12 while he was in the hospital battling with Hepatitis C. It is reported that it took him two years to complete the song and it has been receiving a great response from the audience.
