Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Postponed Due To Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan? Here’s All You Need To Know

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Postponed Due To SRKs Jawan

Animal Postponed: Animal is one of the most anticipated releases of this year. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor alongside Rashmika Mandana is set to roar on the silver screen from December 1, 2023. Animal has been helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The film that will see Ranbir in a full-fledged mass role was originally slated for an August release, where it was said to clash with Sunny Deol's latest release, Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2. However, it was pushed back to December to ensure it reaches its full potential.

BHUSHAN KUMAR REVEALS WHY RANBIR KAPOOR STARRER ANIMAL WAS PUSHED

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Bhushan Kumar, the film's producer, opened up the reasons behind the postponement.

"Animal is a very good film that Sandeep has made. We will be releasing it on December 1. The date is final. We had to push the initial release because some work was left to be done on the movie," said Bhushan Kumar.

He further mentioned that one significant factor contributing to the delay was the film's broad appeal which needed to cater to diverse audiences.

Kumar added, "If you see the advance booking for 'Jawan' was huge in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets, which is the South market. My director, actors, and heroine are from the South. 'Animal' is a pan-Indian film, so we are planning to do it in multiple languages, which is not just limited to dubbing in different languages. We want to promote it all over, like 'Jawan' did."

He also talked about another factor that contributed to this decision and said that it was the musical nature of Animal, which features eight songs. Dubbing these songs into different languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, while maintaining the essence demanded significant time.

In his words, "Another reason is that 'Animal' is a musical and has 8 songs in it. So we have to dub the songs in different languages and it takes time to get the correct for Ranbir Kapoor in other languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Hence, we postponed it and now we are very happy about the decision. So many films are now doing well in theatres. People are coming back. That's a good sign for the box office."

Meanwhile, Animal will lock horns with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur with its release in December.
