Brahmastra
Part
One:
Shiva
starring
Ranbir
Kapoor,
Alia
Bhatt,
Amitabh
Bachchan,
and
Mouni
Roy
in
the
lead
was
one
of
the
most
successful
films
of
the
year
2022.
The
film
received
praise
for
its
storytelling,
screenplay,
and
visual
effects,
however,
the
dialogues
became
a
point
of
contention
among
viewers,
who
dubbed
it
as
'cring-worthy'.
Now,
the
writer
of
the
film,
Hussain
Dalal,
has
reacted
to
the
criticism
that
its
dialogues
faced.
He
expressed
that
the
backlash
had
a
significant
impact
on
his
confidence.
Dalal
defended
himself,
stating
that
everyone
involved
in
the
project
had
collectively
agreed
on
the
lines.
In
an
interview
with
CNN-News18,
Dalal
said,
"To
be
honest,
confidence
takes
a
beating,
of
course.
Also,
I
have
one
bad
habit
that
from
the
time
I
was
very
young,
from
my
childhood,
I
was
used
to
a
lot
of
praise.
So,
that
also
affects
you."
He
emphasized
that
everyone
in
the
film
had
a
role
in
the
final
product
and
added,
"Main
akela
camera
leke
bhaag
nahi
gaya
aur
shoot
karke
laaya
(I
didn't
run
away
with
the
camera
to
shoot
the
film
alone).
I
think
the
larger
understanding
is
that
everybody
who
makes
movies
understands
that
what
we
collectively
attempted
(to
make)
turned
out
this
way.
More
than
me
losing
morale
for
a
few
months,
other
producers
lost
morale
in
me.
But
honestly,
I
think
it
is
a
great
learning
experience.
Fantastic
learning
experience."
Meanwhile,
Hussain
Dalal,
known
for
his
work
in
films
like
Yeh
Jawaani
Hai
Deewani,
2
States,
Kalank,
and
Shehzada,
also
shared
details
about
his
upcoming
project.
His
next
release
is
the
aerial
action
film
Fighter,
starring
Hrithik
Roshan
and
Deepika
Padukone.
Directed
by
Siddharth
Anand,
Fighter
is
set
to
hit
cinemas
on
January
25,
2024.
