For the unversed, the Indian Army has recently implemented significant changes in the recruitment process under the Agnipath scheme for aspiring candidates. Prospective candidates are now required to first participate in an online common entrance examination (CEE), followed by physical fitness and medical tests.

Previously, the recruitment process for Agniveers followed a different sequence, commencing with a physical fitness test, followed by medical examinations. Successful candidates then proceeded to the common entrance examination, and the final merit list determined their selection for training.
