‘Kaddu Jaisi Shakal Leke…’: Richa Chadha Bashes Trolls Criticising Aishwarya Rai’s Fashion Choices

Richa Chadha Bashes Trolls Criticising Aishwarya Rai

Richa Chadha Defends Aishwarya Rai: In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Richa Chadha came to the defense of her Sarbjit co-star, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, against the incessant trolling that she faces, particularly for her fashion choices at the Cannes & Paris Film Festivals.

Richa Chadha On Aishwarya Rai Getting Trolled

Richa who attended the Cannes with Aishwarya in 2016 for the premiere of their film, was asked about the trolling that Aishwarya endures. Richa Chadha responded in Hindi, and said, "People are jealous of her. What else! With a pumpkin-like face, she's the most beautiful woman in the history of India. I think she is very disciplined and graceful. You'll see she doesn't bitch about anyone, doesn't say anything bad for anyone. I like her."

Speaking further, Richa attributed the lack of controversy in Aishwarya's life to her South Indian mentality. "She belongs to a family with a South Indian mentality. She's the lady who eats curd-rice and papad at home. People may keep trolling her, how does it matter?" She also suggested that the reasons behind the trolling are more reflective of the trolls themselves than the individuals being targeted.

Netizens Hail Richa Chadha's Badass Reply

Richa's response to trolls was well-received by social media users who praised her for being 'badass.' A user wrote, "She's so badass and I love that Thing ! No pretence She is what she is ! Lucky Ali !" Another user wrote, "I have heard that there were a lot of differences between her and Aish during Sarbjit. So it was just so nice to see her not only defending Aish but also giving a proper response for the trolls.

"kaddu jaisi shakal", "chintu ko chaprasi bhi nahin rakhoge" god she is amazing." "lollll i cracked up so hard at those one liners!!!!! savageeeeeee!!!! maybe not the chaprasi line tho, a tad mean," read one more comment.

Meanwhile, Richa and Aishwarya shared the screen in the 2016 film Sarbjit, directed by Omung Kumar. In the movie, Randeep Hooda played the titular role, with Richa portraying his wife and Aishwarya as his sister. The film was based on the life of a Punjabi man who was imprisoned in Pakistan after inadvertently crossing the India-Pakistan border while intoxicated.
