Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Trailer: Seven years after the success of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to entertain fans with his new directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI TRAILER UNVEILED

After a long wait, the makers finally unveiled its trailer today (July 4) amid huge buzz and expectations. Also featuring Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles, RARKPK is among the biggest films of 2024 and everyone is expecting a lot from it.

As shown in the trailer, the film revolves around Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and Rani (Alia Bhatt) who fall in love despite hailing from different backgrounds. However, the problem starts when they decide to meet each other's families. As the family members aren't too impressed with their relationship, Rocky and Rani decide to say with each other's families for three months.

ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI TRAILER REVIEW

To be honest, I'm not too impressed with the trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Wondering why I'm saying so? Well, here are the reasons the Alia-Ranveer starrer seems like the weakest KJo film:

Predictable AF Storyline

After seeing the trailer, the storyline of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani seems pretty predictable with the protagonists trying their best to woo the family members so that they can get married with their blessings. As expected, they'll go through many ups and downs during this three-month journey. Well, in the end, we all know what's going to happen.

Similarities With 2 States

Whoever has watched Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor's 2 States must find Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani similar to it in many aspects. The first one is Alia being common in both films. Also, the story of both movies revolves around leads trying to impress their families. Now, it'll be interesting to see if RARKPK will be able to leave its mark at the box office just like 2 States or not.

Thandi Chemistry Between Alia & Ranveer

While Alia and Ranveer earlier started together in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy and fans loved their onscreen pairing, there's something off about their onscreen chemistry in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. However, let's give it the benefit of doubt and here's hoping that my thinking changes after seeing the film.

For the unversed, the much-hyped movie is slated to hit the theatres on Jul 28.
