However, her decision to leave television in 2020 and embrace her religion and wear a hijab marked a significant turn in her life. Sana Khan recently opened up about her decision to quit the entertainment industry and why she said no to Khatron ke Khiladi despite being offered a huge amount of money. She married a Muslim cleric named Anas Saiyad on November 21, 2020, and since then has been living a life of peace.
Sana Khan, who is currently on a religious journey with her husband Anas, revealed the reason behind quitting the entertainment industry and why she turned down the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi despite being offered huge money. She shared that she wanted to stay away from life's temptations as she was already on a religious path. For the uninitiated, Sana Khan has been on the sixth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi and was called back for the 10th season. This offer came to Sana when she had already decided to leave showbiz.
SANA KHAN ON REFUSING KHATRON KE KHILADI
Sana and her husband Anas, in a recent chat with Iqra TV, discussed her resolution to give up showbiz. She also added that there were several things that triggered her decision to take that step and said, "It was in the month of Ramadan, [during the] last days that I used to see burning, blazing graves and I used to see myself inside it screaming for help. I couldn't sleep because I was scared. Initially I thought it's a dream. It kept happening for a week, ten days. That's when things started taking a U-turn inside me but obviously I had nobody to talk to."
Further, Sana said that people start judging you based on what you have said and added that she wanted to make those changes in her life. She shared that her hubby had given her the power to decide whether she wanted to be a part of Rohit Shetty's reality show or not. "I knew if I would do that, I would go there, things will change, because shaitan is so powerful and he's inside. It's so difficult to fight with him. It's the most difficult battle, especially when you're already there and when you see so much of money."
"The greed is never ending. That is when [I knew], I know there's a lot of money involved and I'm getting whatever I'm quoting, but I knew I didn't want to do it at all. I wanted to save myself," she had said.
Sana Khan, before quitting showbiz, had appeared in films like 2007's Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Jai Ho, Wajah Tum Ho, and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Sana was also a finalist on Bigg Boss 6.
