Sukhee: When it comes to playing comic roles with perfection, few can beat Sandeep Kapoor. Give him any character and he will portray it on screen with ease. Whether it TV serials or films, the talented actor has left a long-lasting impression on the audience with his impressive performance.

Sandeep Kapoor, who is a proud father of Seerat Kapoor (Imlie fame) and Viraj Kapoor (Romil from Anupamaa), is eagerly awaiting the release of his next project- Sukhee. The Patiala Babes star will be seen sharing screen space with Shilpa Shetty in the much-awaited flick. Ahead of the release of Sukhee, Sandeep interacted with Filmibeat, spilling the beans about his role and sharing his experience while working on the flick.

Talking to Mr. Kapoor is always a pleasure. He's full of life and loves sharing details about his character. He fondly spoke about his role, revealing that he is playing a man named Joginder for the third time in his career. Yes, he has a special connection with the name.

"I play the role of Joginder, who is seen as Sukhee's husband's (Chaitanya Choudhary) friend. I will be adding the humour ka tadka in the film. I am very excited as the audience will get to see me in a different avatar. I hope they like my work. I am a Punjabi and my character is also a Punjabi, so it's like a double bonus for me," the Bhagyalakshmi actor told us.

Sandeep, who hails from Chandigarh, had a blast while shooting for Sukhee in Punjab. "We shot in Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Patiala. I used to come directly from my home in Chandigarh to the set. The entire cast and crew had a gala time shooting in the state. I have to mention our director Sonal for binding us together and delivering such a fine product."

The actor, who has seen his own share of struggles in the industry, said that he went according to the vision of his director for the role. "We had a lot of workshops where he rehearsed together so that we all can play the role perfectly. Kudos to our director for bringing the best out of us."

When asked if there was any similarity between him and Joginder, he stated, "No. We both are Punjabis but different than each other. Aapne dekha hoga na vo log jo apne dosto ko chedte hai and bolte hai- 'Aare biwi ko under control rakho, ye mat karne do'. Joginder is like that man in any household. I am not like that."

Sandeep was all praise for Shilpa Shetty as he talked about his experience shooting with her. "She's a gem of a person. She made me feel so comfortable on the set. Kabhi laga hi nahi itni badi star hai vo. Maja agaya maam ke saath kaam karke," he fondly said.

Sukhee will hit the silver screens on September 22, 2023.
