Veteran actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik's demise has sent a wave of sadness through the entire film industry. The actor died at the age of 66 due to a heart attack. His mortal remains were brought to MUmbai at his Versova residence, where several celebrities, including Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, and David Dhawan, among others, arrived to pay their last respects to the actor. Kaushik's mortal remains were laid to rest this evening, and pictures and videos of the same have been going viral on social media. One such video is of actor Anupam Kher, who was seen crying uncontrollably at his best friend Kaushik's funeral.

Anupam Kher, who first broke the news of Satish Kaushik's demise, was seen breaking down at the latter's funeral. Kher was seen crying inconsolably as he bid a final goodbye to his best friend of 45 years. As the veteran actor bid adieu to her friend for one last time, he cried profusely while sitting near Satish's mortal remains. Their friendship dates back to the days when both Anupam and Kaushik were students at the National School of Drama.

Anil Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, and Anupam Kher were inseparable. Kapoor took his own time to pay tribute to Kaushik. Hours earlier, while describing his pain at losing Satish Kaushik, Kher had said, "We are all shocked. Taking to Twitter, Anupam Kher shared monochrome pictures with Satish Kaushik and penned down an emotional note in Hindi, which read, "I know that death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I had not thought even in my wildest dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend someday. Such a sudden full stop to a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH (sic)!"
