Shah Rukh Khan Gets Y+ Security Amid Death Threats Post Jawan Success

Shah Rukh Khan has been all over the headlines ever since his recent movie Jawan hit the theatres. The movie has been shattering box office records and managed to crush other movies as well. And while King Khan has been basking in the success of this Atlee directorial, the superstar caught the spotlight for a shocking reason today. According to media reports, Shah Rukh Khan's security has been beefed up amid death threats.

According to a report published in aajtak.in, Shah Rukh had filed a written complaint about receiving death threat calls post the success of Pathaan and Jawan. As a result, Shah Rukh's security was upgraded by the Maharashtra government to IG VIP security. Yes! Shah Rukh has been given Y+ security amid the threat calls.

The media reports suggest that it will be a paid security and that Shah Rukh Khan will be bearing the cost of this high level security. Reportedly, now the Dunki actor will be accompanied by 6 police commandos across the nation.

To recall, Shah Rukh's security was also beefed up earlier after he received death threats post the release of his 2010 release My Name Is Khan opposite Kajol. To note, Shah Rukh isn't the first celebrity to receive the Y+ security. Earlier, Salman Khan and Kangana Ranaut were also given Y+ security post threats.

Meanwhile, talking about Jawan, the Atlee directorial has managed to rule the box office for over a month now and has crossed Rs 1100 crores at the worldwide box office. This isn't all. After becoming the highest opener at the box office, Jawan also managed to become the fastest Bollywood movie to cross the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore, Rs 400 crore, Rs 500 crore and Rs 600 crore mark.

In fact, Jawan also managed to beat the lifetime collection of Pathaan (Hindi) and has become the highest grossing Hindi film of all times. Reportedly, Jawan has already crossed Rs 620 crore mark at the box office and is expected to achieve new milestones in the coming days
