Exclusive! Manoj Desai On Box Office Clash Between Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Dunki And Prabhas' Salaar

Shah Rukh Khan has already given two blockbusters this year, Pathaan and Jawan. He is now all set for his third release of the year Dunki which will hit the big screens on 21st December 2023. Well, Dunki won't be getting a solo release as Prabhas starrer Salaar is also slated to hit the big screens on 21st December 2023. Salaar is a Telugu film which will be dubbed and released in multiple languages including Hindi. While there was a rumour that Salaar might get postponed, it has turned out to be false and it is releasing as per the schedule.

Filmibeat recently spoke to Manoj Desai, the Executive Director of Mumbai's single screens Maratha Mandir, and Gaiety-Galaxy. While talking to us about the clash, Desai said, "It will be interesting to see what happens between Salaar and Dunki. Both the films want to come on the same day. I always advice that clash should not happen, but they want to come together. This ego, how much it will work, we will come to know when the films release."

Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani who is one of the best directors in Hindi film industry. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The trailer of Dunki was released a few days ago, and it has received a decent response.

Meanwhile, Salaar is helmed by Prashanth Neel who had directed the KGF franchise. Prabhas' last few releases didn't do a great business at the box office, so his fans a lot of expectations from Salaar. The movie also stars Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles.
